50 Stuffies. 1 Bookshop. 0 Supervision.
2nd Annual Stuffie Sleepover
Saturday, Feb. 28
The second annual Sleepy Hollow Bookshop Stuffie Sleepover was a raging success for humans and stuffed creatures alike! Stories and milk and cookies were so much fun, and more than 50 children dropped off their stuffies for a night of fun, education, and mayhem. Have you ever had to supervise 50 stuffed creatures all night? We didn’t think so!
When the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department heard that we would have so many stuffies together, they readily agreed to come visit. They gave the stuffies a tour of a fire truck, led stuffie storytime, taught fire safety (crucial for creatures made of highly flammable fluff), and played with all the animals. What a great start to the night!
After they left, the stuffies continued their unforgettable night with reading, some questionable manicures, and a minor "stuck in the mail slot" crisis. They also had a competitive game of Clue, climbed all over the store and some even helped us fix a lightbulb. The night was legendary!
Special thank you to the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department and its Junior Corps for answering our call for service!

He will give a lively reading of his book, The Magical, Wonderful Bul Bul Bird, then invite children to don masks to play a part, acting out this enthralling fairy tale with a surprise ending. The book, masterfully illustrated by Rob Bridges, is inspired by the golden
